This morning I went to the William H. Rumsey Aquatic Center to get in a good swim. Didn’t feel too hot this morning, but decided to push through and go. Glad I did!

At first I felt tired and thought I might not make it past 1000 yards. I started to feel better around 500-600 yards and then the rest was smooth. I stopped right around 3000 yards in about 50 minutes so I could get back home and ready for work. I didn’t plan an especially exciting workout, but below is the breakdown of what I did:

  • 850 yards (approx. 750 meters) – Warm up and I wanted to gage of how long that took for the upcoming Triathlon.
  • 150 yrds Freestyle
  • 200 yds Backstroke
  • 200 yds IM
  • 200 yds – Backstroke kick down, butterfly kick (on my back) back.
  • 200 yds Freestyle
  • 200 yds Backstroke
  • 200 yds IM
  • 200 yds Freestyle
  • 200 yds Backstroke
  • 200 yds – Backstroke kick down, butterfly kick (on my back) back.
  • 200 Freestyle/Backstroke Warmdown.
